Ferris is a delicately disarming book that gently meanders you through the life of Ferris and her story – where every story is a love story. It’s a light pace of a book yet you want to keep turning every page as you delve deeper into the life of Ferris and her unique relationships with those she cherishes.
Ferris Book Review
In essence this is a book about love. The love for family and friends and the special bonds and relationships that form through moments of our lives. It’s a book filled with warmth and hope yet throughout it is laced with loss. Loss woven in so delicately, so naturally that you don’t really feel its power until you get to the final pages.

Ferris Synopsis
Ferris was born under a ferris wheel caught by her Grandmother whom she has a special bond. Pinky, her little sister, is a rebel determined to get her face on a wanted poster. Grandmother is seeing a ghost who’s on a mission. Uncle Ted has moved into the basement and in need of inspiration whilst Dad is haunted by racoons. Just everyday life for Ferris and those closest to her. Can Ferris and her best friend Billy help settle a restless soul and bring everyone together?

This is one of those wow books that you don’t truly realise how incredible it was until you read the last page with tears streaming down your face.
Spoiler Details
SPOILER ALERT: I don’t usually do spoilers but I think it’s important for some books that you know what the content is. It can help to decide if a book may be suitable for your child and their circumstances and help you to discus the book with them.
Spoiler Alert
Ferris’s best friend’s Mum died during childbirth and Billy talks about missing her. Grandmother talks of a ghost who is looking to be reunited with her partner.
