Are you looking for great books to share with your child, that also help them develop their reading skills? Book bands are specific reading schemes often used in schools. These book recommendations do not replace these books. However, these would be a great supplement to give alternative reading opportunities at home together. The book suggestion below you may find suitable for children who are working within the orange book banded range.
I’m undertaking quite a big project adding book banded recommendations to the website this Autumn/ Winter 2020. It’s a work in progress and posts will be updated regularly with additional information about books being added over time. The main page to find book banded books is here and you can search by colour.
If you’d like to find out more about book bands then head to this blog post. It explain what book bands are and helpful hints and tips.

If you are looking to purchase a book for your home or as a gift that I’ve recommended then the link to Busy Busy Learning Bookshop below helps support independent book shops. Yes Bebe Books and Bear Hunt Books are also independent children’s booksellers. Here’s a link to other booksellers too.
