The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Feel free to drop your blog link in comments.

It’s been warm weather for us here in the UK this week (mild compared to other places in the world). However, my health conditions are exacerbated by heat so it’s been a trickier week for me and I’ve got no where near as much done as I was hoping to. Can you cope with hot temperatures?

New Arrivals
Purchased Books
This week some pre-loved craft books arrived from Vinted for the arts and craft group I volunteer at. There’s some great projects and I think they’re going to be thoroughly enjoyed by the group members. I’m aiming to read through this week and add them to the blog soon.
Library Loot
Wigglesbottom Primary: The Pirate Cat by Pamela Butchart and Becka Moor
Wigglesbottom Primary: The Pirate Cat by Pamela Butchart and Becka Moor published by Nosy Crow was devoured in 45 minutes by Floss when it arrived. She’s already picked three more from the series to request from the library! These are a great series of black, white and one other colour tone of illustrations. Pamela writes with such incredible humour.
If you get the chance to go to an in person event with her you’ll fall in love with her infectious personality.
Guinea Pig Books
We’re very excited that we are going to be having guinea pigs join our family. Due to this we requested a few books from the library to help us prepare for their arrival. Once we’ve had a good look through these we’ll let you know which were our favourites.
From Publishers to Consider for Review
Scholastic Bundle
We’ve had such an exciting bundle of books arrive from Scholastic. Do check out the unboxing video below – there’s some fabulous titles that we’re very excited to read. You can find out more about the titles here.
Words of Love
This incredible book, Words of Love by Jake Biggin, arrived from DK. I can’t wait to review it for you properly. However, it might be my favourite book of 2024 so far!
This Week on the Blog
I haven’t completely finished reading all the sea and ocean themed new releases for Spring and Summer 2024. I’m hoping to finish this week and upload a post.
I’ll be adding a review of Rune: The Tale of a Thousand Faces. A very fascinating book that I have plenty to say about.
Hoping for a more productive week this week with plenty to tell you about next Sunday. Have a wonderful week.
