11 Aug 24: The Sunday Post – Wigglesbottom Primary, Iris Folding & Yoto Club Changes

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Feel free to drop your blog link in comments.

If you could only read physical books or listening to audio books for the rest of your life which would you choose?

Last Week on the Blog

It’s been a busy week on the blog with new posts and updating old posts. Not quite as much reading as I would like to have got done.

New Arrivals

Library Haul of Pamela Butchart Yumminess!

After Floss devoured Wigglesbottom Primary: The Pirate Cat by Pamela Butchart and Becka Moor last week she requested these three titles in the series from the library.

Subscription Arrival

National Geographic Kids is always a welcomed arrival in the house. One thing Floss loves about this magazine is the amount of puzzles you get. It’s really got her in to different types of puzzles. She’s got very into crosswords with these magazines.

This Week on the Blog

Iris Folding Free Pattern

I’ve put a very ‘draft’ version of a free iris folding pattern and instructions into the iris folding resources folder today. I’ll be tidying this up into a blog post this week coming. It’s for an iris folding stained glass window. You can find the rough version to download below.

I’m still working my way through all the ocean and sea books. I will get there! Things are always a little slower in pace when the little one is off school.

Guinea Pig Books

Floss has been working her way through the ones we picked up from the library. She’s getting prepared for what we need to look after guinea pigs. Hoping to pop on a little post about the books this week coming.

Around the Blogosphere

  • Always love a children’s and teen round-up from The Guardian.
  • The Animal Body Book by Jess French and Jonathan Woodward published by DK is on my list to review and its been bumped up the TBR pile after reading the Books for Keeps review here.
