Recovering from the hysterectomy and endometriosis removal has been brutal the start of this week. Surgical menopause is…HARD! If anyone has any words of wisdom I’m ALL EARS.
Plus my Addison’s disease seems to be in constant flare up and I only came out of hospital again in the early hours of this morning. Really hoping the rest of the week goes more smoothly. How’s the start of your week going?

Joining in with Top Ten Tuesday
I’m joining in with Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and it’s for anyone who loves books, lists and great bookish company! Sounds perfect to me.
Books with One-word Titles

This was a really fun one to join in with. As someone who predominantly reviews children’s books, and often more picture books, I found that there were few picture books with one word titles that sprung out at me. However, middle grade fiction was where the one word titles shone. Without further ado let me share ten of my favourite one-word title books.
Top Ten Tuesday Books with One-word Titles

Needle
This book is incredible, such a great read. Check out my review here.
Later
A warm, wonderful picture book that so many children can relate to. Check out my review here.

Flooded
An amusing read with a very deep, meaningful context that makes it a great book to span a wide age range with children analysing at different levels. Super clever. Check out my review here.
Fledgling
Quirky and eerily good middle grade fiction that would be loved by teens and adults too. Check out my review here.

Wished
Pure magic, wonderful feel good. A book to return to over and over again and ignite the imagination of adventure to all. Featured in Bookworm Buzz here.
Hedgewitch
Spellbinding middle grade. Book 2 – Woodwitch available now too. Check out my review here.

Snow?
Beautiful storytelling with the most dreamy, delightful illustrations. Check out my review here.
Alone
Warm storytelling, yet highly educational too. Check out my review here.

Aliens
A Neon Squid spectacular non-fiction text with fascinating facts to tantalise the curious. Check out my review here.
Rewilding
Super non-fiction on Rewilding of the flora and fauna on the planet. Check out my review here.

Do go and check out others who join in with the Top Ten Tuesday meme. A couple of titles piqued my interest from The Intrepid Reader that you can find here. Love the look of The Sassy Library Fox’s YA picks for this week that you can find here. There’s some brilliant middle grade and YA picks form Sifa Elizabeth reads here too.

I’m sorry your recovery has been hard. May you start feeling better soon.
Needle sounds like a good read.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Sounds like a really hard week, for sure!
Snow looks amazing, and I need to see if my library has it…
(My TTT for this week is here, if you’re curious!)
It’s stunning and the author/ illustrator is such a lovely lady. If you haven’t already do take a look at the inside images – just spellbinding – https://busybusylearning.com/snow-jo-surman/. Loved your choices for this week.
I’m sorry you’ve been having such a rough time. Sounds like you’ve been going through something awful. I hope you start feeling better soon!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan
