Review – Snow Ghost
‘Snow Ghost is an enchanting book full of wintery magic that warms your heart and fills your soul with the joy of play.’
Snow Ghost
There’s a certain magic that you instantly feel when you first see some books. It’s the enchantment that the illustrator conjures with their exceptional imagination. You only have to take one look at the end papers to fall spellbindingly in love with this book. It’s like falling into a snow filled dream. Diana Mayo playfully, delicately and gently wraps this this book in her warm welcoming imagery that makes even the cool snow feel like a cosy blanket.
The Snow Ghost is seeking for a place to call home. Tony Mitton’s lovely, rhyming verse drifts you off into a dreamy land of snow. Beautiful adjectives will have incredible imagery running through your mind and the minds of your children as you share the book together.
“…swooping gracefully over the whirling traffic of town, winding her way through the dense, tangled wood and to the top of the blustery hill.”
The search continues until the Snow Ghost finds the perfect place to call home. A place where the fun and frolicking bring her the most satisfying joy – all through the magic of play.
This would be the perfect enchanting tale for a wintery, bedtime read and would make an ideal Christmas gift.

Starbird
Starbird is out of this world incredible. Sharon know just how to wrap you in moonlit magic through her sensational illustrations and moving story. Starbrid longs to find a home, but the Moon King wants the perfect gift for his daughter. Can she teach him that sometimes the best gifts are to set things free? Totally moving, with enchanting images that have you pouring back over the book to look deeper into each splendid spread to find hidden gems you may have missed before.
This book is now out in paperback and I adore the new cover image that Sharon has produced, however, if this is for a gift I would urge you to get the hardcover version. It really makes for such a treasured keepsake that will be on the book shelf for years to come.
