K-pop What?
I clearly must have been living under a rock because KPop Demon Hunters completely passed me by until now! When I received an email from Yoto about their latest card launch, I turned to the wealth of knowledge in my audio Facebook group to find out what all the hype was about. I soon realised I really had been living under a rock – KPop Demon Hunters were BIG – ARE BIG – a phenomenon taking the world by storm. Well everyone except me!

Are KPop Demon Hunters big in your family or are you under the rock with me and reading this post to try and find out more? You can check out the KPop Demon Hunters Yoto card here or read on in this post to find out more. We’ll also look at age suitability as well as Yoto card content.

What is KPop Demon Hunters?
I’ve taken a deep dive into this new world. Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters is an animated musical fantasy that’s taken the world by storm (unless you’re under the rock with me). It follows three K-pop idols who, by day, perform dazzling pop hits and, by night, secretly fight demons threatening humanity. Think high-energy music videos meet anime-style action – it’s a bold mix of rhythm, power, and friendship.
Netflix Most Viewed
The film has become Netflix’s most-viewed movie ever (seriously, where have I been), and its platinum-certified soundtrack is now available as a Yoto card to expand your screen-free library for kids (and curious grown-ups like me who want to see what the buzz is about!).
Yoto Music & Lasting Memories
This isn’t the first time that Yoto has dipped their toes into the music world and I’ve loved other releases that we’ve seen. In a digital filled world it feels lovely to be able to share with our children the joy (or cringe) of receiving/ buying their first ‘album’.
What will your child’s memories of their first album be? I remember nostalgically the first ‘single’ I got on cassette tape (really showing my age here) – Band Aid II – “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”. I clearly remember the cassette cover – a dark green sleeve with red dinner plates and cutlery where the circle plate was a picture of the world.
The mind remembers more when you have something to touch and to look at. As Yoto bring out more music soundtracks I wonder if they realise how much they are forming memories that our children will look back on and are likely to talk about with their children! I’d love to know your first single or album…
I’ve digressed – let’s get back to KPop Demon Hunters. Yoto launched two days before the official vinyl release. I feel this shows a commitment from Yoto to being a big player in the music world for kids and I believe we’re likely to see more music from Yoto in the future. It’s certainly an area that sets them apart from other audio players for children out there.
What’s on the KPop Demon Hunters Yoto Card?
There are twelve tracks in total, with a runtime of 37 minutes. The perfect soundtrack for a dance party in the kitchen or a car-ride sing-along. Since delving into the world of KPop Demon Hunters I’ve come to realise these are super catchy earworms – you’ve been warned!
Tracks include:
- TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG)
- How It’s Done
- Soda Pop
- Golden
- Strategy
- Takedown
- Your Idol
- Free
- What It Sounds Like
- 사랑인가 봐 Love, Maybe
- 오솔길 Path
- Marcelo Zarvos Score Suite
As always, Yoto keeps things screen-free and family-friendly, letting children explore music independently through their Yoto Player or Yoto Mini (or even via the Yoto App).
What is K-pop?
Back under my rock I realised that I’ve heard of K-pop but I don’t have a true understanding of it. So what it it? K-pop stands for Korean pop music. It’s a vibrant music genre that started in South Korea and blends catchy pop melodies with elements of hip-hop, R&B, dance, and electronic music.
I’ve discovered what really makes K-pop special is the whole performance – singers (known as idols) train for years to master singing, dancing, and stage presence. Groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE have made K-pop a global phenomenon, filling stadiums and topping charts around the world.
It’s not just about the music! K-pop is known for:
- ✨ Polished choreography – intricate, high-energy dance routines.
- 🎤 Group dynamics – multiple singers/performers sharing vocals and roles.
- 🎬 Stylish visuals – colourful fashion, creative music videos, and storytelling.
- 💖 Strong fan culture – fans are deeply involved, supporting their favourite idols with huge global communities.
So when you hear that KPop Demon Hunters features K-pop idols who also fight demons, that’s part of the fun. It combines the over-the-top style and teamwork of K-pop with fantasy adventure storytelling.

Meet the Voices Behind the Music
To celebrate the launch, Yoto Daily (Yoto’s daily podcast – find out more about podcasts here) featured the voices of KPop Demon Hunters’ central trio – HUNTR/X – played by EJAE (Rumi), Rei Ami (Zoey), and Audrey Nuna (Mira) on October 15th – here’s the episode. Yoto Daily is accessed by pressing the right-hand button on Yoto Players to hear that day’s podcast.
A Quick Note on KPop Demon Hunters Movie Content
If, like me, you hadn’t heard of KPop Demon Hunters before, it’s worth knowing a little about the movie itself before you let little ones dive in. While the music is upbeat and catchy, the film includes fantasy violence, demon characters, and intense action scenes. On Netflix here in the UK it states violence, injury details and scary scenes as the warning information.
The movie is generally rated PG / 10+, so it may be a bit much for very young or sensitive viewers. The Yoto card, however, contains only the soundtrack. There’s no dialogue or scary story elements so it’s a much gentler way for children to enjoy the KPop Demon Hunters world. Yoto give an age guideline of 5-14, yet parents in my Facebook group have said they’re in their 30s and 40s and love KPop Demon Hunters!
Interestingly, from the Facebook group, the KPop Demon Hunters following appears to be much younger than the rating of the film – between 2-7 years old seems quite standard. However, some members of the group did say that their children had found parts of the movie a little scary. Although, others have said that their children enjoy the music but haven’t watched the movie. The KPop Demon Hunters Yoto card is only the music without any of the storyline.

I think with anything that our children are exposed to it’s important to do your own research beforehand. You know your child best. Hence why I’m currently typing up this blog post whilst watching – you’ve guessed it – KPop Demon Hunters!
The KPop Demon Hunters Yoto Card is available in all Yoto regions – click on the link below to be taken to your region of the world. You can find a short preview of the content there as well.
Final Thoughts
I might have discovered KPop Demon Hunters a little late, but I’m officially intrigued! It’s amazing to see Yoto tapping into global music trends while keeping things child-safe and family-friendly. If your household loves energetic pop beats or enjoys a bit of make-believe stardom, this one might be the next big hit on your Yoto shelf.
