Yoto Comparison Thoughts
Yoto Mini Handle
If you have a child who fiddles with things then the cord on the Yoto Mini doesn’t last long as it’s quite thin. My daughter loves to spin the Yoto Mini around on its cord and we now have broken cords! We’ve replaced them with homemade ones.
Player Size
If you have a child who loses things easily or you can barely see their floor in their bedroom then the Yoto Mini can get lost easily with its portable size. This might be something to consider before you make a purchase.
Do You Travel?
If you plan on taking your Yoto on holiday or other travelling trips then the Yoto Mini may be a more compact option for you without compromising on features. Check out this post about top tips for travelling with the Yoto Mini Player.
Charging Cables
Both the Yoto Player and the Yoto Mini come with a USB C charging cable. For the Yoto Player you can get a wireless charging dock. This becomes cheaper to purchase if you pay for it at the same time as you purchase your Yoto Player.
The Yoto Mini Player 2024 Edition has a new cable that fixed a safety recall for the previous mini player. We have two previous Yoto Minin Players and never had any problems but ordered the free cables from Yoto to fix the issue.

Audio Player Top Tip
Whichever player you decide to go with I’d highly recommend setting up your player BEFORE you give it to your child/ren. Players are generally very simple to set up, but much easier when you don’t have a ‘helper’. Having your player fully charged and ready to go when it’s opened is ideal. The boxes are able to be put back together like nothing happened so your child won’t know it’s already been opened.
