This post is going to share with you some of the historical information from previous Black Fridays so you can plan your purchasing of an audio story box player for children. It will also go through deals as spotted in 2025 when they appear and top tips for getting the best from Black Friday.

Both Yoto, Voxblock and Tonies usually have deals over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period. Black Friday deals are usually the best deals we see throughout the year.

BLACK FRIDAY TOP TIPS

Here’s my top tips for making the most out of Black Friday

⚫Make a list of exactly what you want. For example is the colour of a Toniebox, Voxblock or Yoto Adventure Jacket important to you? Is there a particular bundle deal that you are hoping for?

⚫Put your list in order of priority now so that you’re not trying to decide under time pressure.

⚫Set your budget. Decide how much you are happy to spend – 15% off exactly what you want is probably better than 20% off not quite what you wanted – that’s just my opinion!

⚫Get in early. Just because the offers are running until say the 2nd December doesn’t mean they will still be there. Deals are limited and items do go out of stock quickly so prepare and get in early.

Historical Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals Information

Amazon Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale

• Amazon usually have deals on both the Yoto Player and Toniebox. Bundles seems to have the highest percentage reduction in price. Amazon deals are limited and in previous years they have sold out quickly. Therefore, if you’ve decided you want to purchase a player from Amazon don’t hesitate! Often their deals are even better if you are an Amazon Prime customer. You can try Amazon Prime for free for 30 days here (UK) (US here) (worth looking at timescales if you are planning to make a purchase).
• In 2024 Amazon confirmed that Black Friday deals will run from the 19th November (for Australia) and 21st November (for UK/ US) until the 2nd December 2024. This may give us a little insight to when this may begin in 2025.

Yoto Mini Player

• Historically, the Yoto Mini Player had not often been included in the Yoto promotions. However, in 2024 we saw significant discounts on Yoto Mini Players as I’d predicted. Check out this post if you’d like to find out the deals from 2024. This makes me think we’re likely to see deals in 2025 on the Yoto Mini Player. Membership: Yoto Club Discount Stackability

• In the past, Yoto Club 10% discount has been stackable on other promotions available. This was the case in 2024 and has been for all promotions so far in 2025.
• However, the Yoto Club has been through a complete overhaul in 2024. You can find out all about it in this blog post.
• If you plan to get the Yoto Club Explorer or Explorer Plus make sure you purchase this BEFORE purchasing anything else so that you get your stackable 10% discount.

Yoto Card Deals

• Yoto cards did feature in the Black Friday sale in 2024. There was a sliding scale of discount depending upon how much you spent. Find out the details here. These deals are often a good way to stock up and stash away.

Toniebox Black Friday and Character Sales

As I predicted in 2024 Tonie characters were not in the Tonies official sale for Black Friday but Tonieboxes, Tonie bundles and accessories were on the Tonies UK website with 20% off starting on the 20th November until 3rd December. With the Toniebox 2 now released in the UK and arriving in October in the US I predict that deals are likely to be focused on this newbie.

• Generally, Tonie Characters are not usually on sale for Black Friday. However, this company did have characters at a discount.
• Deals on Tonies are usually the Toniebox player itself and bundles where the Toniebox comes with a set selection of curated characters.
• Bundles are often the best value deals you’ll find for Tonies.
• Tonie characters often come on multiple buy offers in the January/ Boxing Day sales.

Audio Player Accessories

• There have been sales on accessories for both Yoto and Tonies in the past. Sometimes there’s a blanket offer over all accessories and sometimes it’s specific items.

Is Cost the Most Important Factor?

If cost is the most important factor for you when purchasing a Toniebox, Voxblock or Yoto Player or Mini then it’s worth considering two things. Firstly, is the initial ‘big player cost’ the most important or the ongoing costs of cards, blocks or characters?

If the initial player cost is important then Toniebox is priced in the middle of the two Yoto Player options. Toniebox usually have the best price reductions on boxes and bundles when deals are on. However, ongoing cost of Tonie characters is more than Yoto cards and there are more restrictions on free content options available. Voxblock is one of the least expensive players with a great range of audiobooks.

If ongoing costs are more important then a Yoto is likely to be your best option. Yoto has the option to have podcasts which give you lots of free content and the cards are cheaper. They also have Yoto radio and Yoto Club.

If you’re wanting an audio player for your child and cost is an incredibly important factor for you then the Yoto Mini is a great option of the players as well as having all the benefits mentioned above around podcasts, radio and cheaper cards.

Voxblock is the cheapest players and has incredibly high quality texts in their audiobook selection.
