January 2026 is already shaping up to be a brilliant month for Yoto fans. New Yoto cards are typically released weekly on a Thursday, and so far we’ve had three January drops – on 22 January, 15 January and 8 January 2026. In this post, I’m rounding up all the new Yoto card releases for January 2026 so far, starting with the most recent drop first. I’ll continue updating this post each week as new cards are released. January 2026 Yoto Releases at a Glance
So far this month, January’s Yoto card releases are particularly good for:
- Language learning – French and Spanish cards across different regions
- Educational listening – Numberblocks and Colourblocks
- Longer stories – chapter-book packs for confident listeners
- Music & fun – lullabies, sing-alongs and joke cards

Card Drop: 22 January 2026 (Latest)
This week’s Yoto card drop keeps things fresh with interactive adventures, stories and music that appeal to a range of ages – from imaginative play and legends to gentle sleep-time tales and movement-inspiring songs.
Available in All Card Stores
- Mountain Goat Mountain (3+) – An interactive audio theatre experience that invites the whole family to step into a magical place where you work together to uncover secrets and hidden treasures. It’s great to see some more interactive Yoto cards coming to life. Do check out my post on Spy Club here if you haven’t had much experience with interactive cards. Yoto say for this card you will need: Your family, a bed sheet and some pencils and paper. 34 minutes in duration.
- The Flying Canoe (3+) – A mythic, interactive journey set in Kiribati with traditional songs and soundscapes, encouraging listeners to transform their lounge into a world of stories and wonder. A follow on from Mountain Goat Mountain Yoto say you need: Your family, some ribbon or string, a bed sheet and four things with handles (a wooden spoon, tennis racquet or fly swat for example!) 55 minutes in duration.
- Māui and Other Māori Legends (8+) – Classic tales from Māori oral tradition featuring the trickster hero Māui and other iconic adventures. Sounds like a great card for Moana fans! If you’re interested in Māori traditions then the Britannica website is a great place to start – there are three different articles depending upon the age of the reader; check it out here. As a parent this is a really interesting blog post about learning Te Reo Māori and thoughts on bilingualism. There’s lots more information here too.
- Journey to Sleep (3–7) – A collection of gentle vehicle-themed sleep stories (like steam trains and ocean ships) to help kids drift into calm bedtime listening. (EU coming soon). This is a Yoto Original collection so if you’re in the Yoto Club then these are available as a digital download for free for the duration of your Yoto Club membership.
- Laurie Berkner: Nature Songs (3–10) – Upbeat music celebrating the natural world. 32 minutes in duration.
- Laurie Berkner: Songs About Love (3–10) – A warm, sing-along collection of songs about love for little listeners. 31 minutes in duration.
- Laurie Berkner: Movement Songs (3–10) – Energetic songs to inspire dance, play and activity. 37 minutes in duration.
- Laurie Berkner: Lullabies (All ages) – Calming lullabies perfect for nap or bedtime. 31 minutes in duration.

👉 This 22 January drop is especially rich for families who love play-along adventures, storytelling rooted in culture and heritage, and music that encourages both movement and calm listening.

The second January drop brings a fantastic mix of stories, learning, music and familiar favourites, with plenty for both younger and older listeners.
