One of the best features of the Yoto Player and Yoto Mini is their ability to play podcasts, unlocking tons of free content for young listeners. If you don’t know how to add a podcast to your Yoto players then head to this post. These are three podcasts that are good for a younger audience. Feel free to add podcasts you’ve spotted in comments.

As always, it’s important to check the content you are going to share with your child/ren yourself to ensure you are happy with what they are exposed to. I always like to listen to a podcast first before I decide if I think it’s something I’m happy for my daughter Floss to listen to.
🟠Little Stories for Tiny People Podcast
This podcast features original stories with imaginative themes, relatable characters, and gentle life lessons. The stories are engaging and use simple language, and each episode is about 10-15 minutes. Geared towards toddlers and young children, general interest age 3-6.

🟠🔴Circle Round Podcast
Produced by WBUR, Circle Round shares carefully adapted folktales from around the world. Each story highlights themes like kindness, perseverance, and empathy.
The storytelling is accompanied by sound effects and music, which keeps young children engaged. Aimed at children aged 3-10, with folktales and stories emphasising moral lessons suitable for young listeners but also engaging for older kids.
In addition they also have accompanying colouring sheets for some episodes as well.

A collaboration between Sesame Street and Headspace, this podcast focuses on bedtime stories and relaxation techniques. Each episode features well-known Sesame Street characters, combining a calming storyline with gentle mindfulness exercises, perfect for winding down. Designed for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 2-5.
